This is an edited version of the full talk, which will be available for check out at the Gladys Marcus Library of FIT. Monica Miller's publications include Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity and Affirmative Actions: Ways to Define Black Culture in the 20th Century.
