- Description
- Inspired by the MFIT exhibition Fashion Unraveled and organized by MFIT and the Fashion Research Network, this one-day colloquium explored the concepts of memory, wear, and imperfection in fashion. Speakers focused on imperfect garments and the significance of dressing as a habitual, intimate, and ephemeral act.
- Katie Knowles joined the Avenir Museum and the Department of Design and Merchandising at Colorado State University as Avenir Curator and Assistant Professor in 2017. She holds a PhD in history from Rice University (2014) in Houston, Texas; her dissertation title was Fashioning Slavery: Slaves and Clothing in the United States South, 1830-1865.
