- Description
- Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting.
- David Wolfe, Creative Director of Doneger Design Direction, a division of the Doneger Group, presents a slide show that shows styles for the Fall 2008 season and predicts major changes in silhouette, color and fabrics. He shows how the contradictory themes of maximalism and minimalism have created chaos in the fashion worl, and how fashions from past decades are revisited again and again. Showing several slides of recent handbags, he argues that they forecast changing apparel fashions.
