- Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting.
- Michael and Nicholas Kaplan describe the launching of their large-size women's fashion retailing venture. Their firm, Fashion to Figure, offers over 75 brands of sizes 14-26. The brothers are grandchildren of the founders of the Lane Bryant stores, which also offered fashions to 12+ shoppers, and they contrast the earlier retailing concern with the narrower focus and broader plus-size offerings of Fashion to Figure.
