Committed to sustainable design, Andrew became a LEED AP and acted as project manager for L'Oreal USA's first LEED-CI Silver project in New York City while on staff at Allen + Killcoyne Architects. This sensitivity towards environmental considerations continues to manifest itself in every project sun/tect designs.

Tara St James is the founder and designer of Study NY, an ethical contemporary womenswear brand based in New York City.
"Here at Study NY, we maintain a transparent supply chain for every step of our products' journey. From field to cutting table, every part of a garment's process is carefully examined and controlled to be socially and environmentally conscious. We support sustainable techniques to better the fashion industry and the world. Study NY is defined by conceptual design & sustainability - we want to challenge preconceived ideas of fashion and design. By educating consumers about the craft of making clothing, we hope they will begin to understand what is required of producing a well-made garment that will withstand the test of time. Study NY cuts & sews collections domestically using both ethical fabrics and production methods. We are vocal about our choice to use sustainable and ethical design principles, but we want to be judged the same way all brands are - by strength of design. We want to be as transparent with our customer as possible. Our labels are designed to display all details about our garments - from fiber to manufacturing."
Shortly after starting Study NY, Tara St James, the founder and designer, focused on educating the next generation of designers on the importance of sustainability in design. Tara has taught as a part of FIT's Sustainability Certificate, and has critiqued and lectured at Parsons, Pratt and FIT. Currently Tara is working as Production Coordinator and Research Fellow in the Sustainable Strategies Lab for Pratt's Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator.
