FIT's 16th annual Sustainable Business and Design Conference: Pathways to Impact centers on four core themes that highlight the intersectionality of sustainable practices. Over the course of two intensive days, attendees will be immersed in keynotes, talks, and panel discussions providing pathways to Social Justice x Social Responsibility, Environment x Materials, Consumption x Waste, and Design x Business. The speakers are trailblazers in numerous facets of sustainability and emphasize the FIT community's commitment to best practices in all its operations—including student projects, faculty and staff initiatives, and campus facilities.

Impact Video - Faculty Highlight: Steven Ceraso, Display and Exhibit Design, School of Art and Design presents his Sustainability Grant winning project, Precious Plastic Machinery.

Steven Ceraso is a Long Island–based artist and educator. He received his Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Installation from Claremont Graduate University in California. He received his BFA from Long Island University. Steven is currently a technologist for the Fashion Institute of Technology, Spatial Experience Design program. At FIT he works with faculty and students in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Steven manages the primary fabrication studio AC08 and maintains the machinery and digital fabrication equipment. He is also an Instructor in the Continuing and Professional Studies Department. He currently teaches a series of woodworking and furniture-making workshops.
