Runway27 is a Fashion Institute of Technology's student-run organization that showcases an annual fashion show.

Our theme for our 11th annual show is “Dollhouse,” which explores how dolls and fashion act as a mirror, reflecting the intricate process of finding oneself. From childhood, dolls serve as vessels for self-expression. Through dressing them up, creating scenarios, and acting out our dreams, we experiment with different versions of ourselves. They become more than just toys. They help us navigate who we are and who we want to be—offering a safe space to explore endless possibilities. “Dollhouse” examines this ongoing process, showing how fashion helps us explore different versions of ourselves and the multifaceted identities we continue to develop throughout our lives.

Our journey unfolds in four captivating segments, each representing a pivotal stage in the evolution of personal identity. Innocence highlights the carefree nature of childhood and the simplicity of youth. Transformation follows, introducing a world of whimsy and playfulness that is the blossoming of personality. The Rebellion segment then captures the moody tension and defiant spirit of adolescence. We conclude with Self-Discovery, showcasing a dreamy, ethereal aesthetic that represents finding inner peace and self-actualization. Welcome to the Dollhouse.
