Description

Kenneth is an Adjunct Instructor in the Fashion Design Apparel teaching haute couture techniques and embellishments. He holds a BS in Fashion Merchandising, specializing in window display, and had a 10-year career doing that.

Self-employed with his own haute couture evening wear design business in San Francisco since 1987, he has work in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the L.A. County Museum of Art, the Oakland Museum, and the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco. When he started his business, he trained with a Paris-trained couture patternmaker (Ecole Guerre-Lavigne method).

Kenneth was featured as the sewing expert in the 26-episode PBS TV series Sewing Today and is a published author. His published books are: Designer Techniques, Designer Bead Embroidery (English and French editions), Cool Couture, Smart Fitting Solutions, Doll Couture, and an upcoming book on Doll Couture for the Red Carpet. Kenneth has self-published twelve books on CD, covering various aspects of couture sewing and patternmaking techniques. He also serves as a Contributing Editor for Threads Magazine, where he has written articles for over 30 years.
