Lalea Raymond will be telling her major that she studied in FIT, and her story on how she built up from her past internships and job experiences to her current career path. She will also speak on the impact of Black Retail Action Group (BRAG) involvement on her leadership and professionalism. Lalea goes further by telling her transition from being an FIT student to corporate life. Leading forward to her first industry roles, and navigating challenges and building confidence in a workplace as a woman of color. Lalea then goes through what corporate internships look like, fashion jobs target audience, brand manager responsibilities, turning passions into profit, and networking tips. Following her passion for photography, she explains how her love for photography helped her as a brand manager. She goes through her journey as a photographer and tells the famous people that she encountered with — Erykah Badu, Serena Williams, Victoria Monét, and so much more! Lalea ended off by giving advice to the future fashion leaders for their future careers.
