Description

Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting.
With a degree in Fashion Design from Studio Berçot in Paris, Elodie has worked in the fashion industry for over 15 years. After graduating, she went on to hold an internship with Stella McCartney in London before finding a junior designer role in Paris for Lanvin. She was promoted to Designer in charge of capsules in which she oversaw the Bridal Line, Tailoring Line and Leather Line capsules. In 2011 she moved to Isabel Marant as the Senior Designer of Softs and was promoted after 3 years to Head Designer working directly with Isabel Marant. Saint Laurent recruited her in 2016 as a Design Director working with Anthony Vaccarello (YSL’s creative Director). In July of 2017, she moved to New York City as Senior Design Director for Women’s Ready to Wear managing a team of 12 designers and building the assortment from conception to marketing.
