Title
Faces and Places in Fashion: William L. McComb
Description
Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting.
Recently appointed CEO of Liz Claiborne, Mr. McComb describes his early career in merchandising and his arrival at LIz Claiborne at a time of great change. He explains the recent strategy for purchasing the Juicy Couture, Kate Spade and Mexx companies and the hiring of Isaac Mizrahi to update the Liz Line. He identifies fit and seasonal availability as the two biggest problems that fashion merchandising is facing.
