Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting.

Hollis describes his career as a fashion designer after graduating from FIT in 1999, and his success as CEO of Hilton Hollis International. He emphasizes the value of his FIT education, and his early years of designing for the bridge market. His career advice includes the need for being aggressive, seeking out contacts, trusting oneself, taking risks, and experimenting with different marketing approaches. He also shows a video of his Fall 2009 line that show inspiration from the Baroque artist Peter Paul Rubens.
