Faces and Places in Fashion: Vicky Tiel
Subject
Description
Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting.
After graduating from Parsons, Vicky Tiel settled in Paris with a business partner and set up a boutique called Mia and Vicky, where among other things she designed what she calls the world's first mini skirt. Her current concentration is bridalwear for Bergdorf Goodman. In her presentation she describes what she learned from the talented designers she has met and how they influenced her career. A brief video illustrates highlights from her career.
