Faces and Places in Fashion: Roberto Faraone Menella

Description

Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting.
Mr. Menella describes how he broke into fashion and couture jewelery with his business and design partner Amadeo Scognamiglio. Together, in 2001, after earning law degrees in Italy and studying at Parsons and FIT, they established Faraone Menella R.F.M.A.S., successfully marketing their designs to high-end retailers like Bergdorf Goodman and Nieman-Marcus and have established their own store on 57th Street in New York City. A six minute promotional video highlights how designs changed from simple gold chains to gems and shows the 57th Street showroom.
