The Department of Social Sciences’ World Affairs Lecture Series fulfills FIT’s mission to foster an understanding of diverse cultures and politics within the international as well as domestic perspectives. It also embraces, supports, and expands upon the president’s campuswide initiative on civility. This virtual lecture will be on: Emerging Trends in a Post-Pandemic Africa.
Speaker: Dr. Cyril Obi, Program Director, Social Science Research Council (SSRC), Brooklyn, New York. He leads the African Peacebuilding Network (APN) and Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa (NextGen) Programs.
Obi will be in conversation with Dr. Souzeina Mushtaq, Assistant Professor (Visiting), Department of Communication and Media Studies, University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
This lecture is presented in partnership with the Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Presidential Scholars Program, and the Office of International Programs.
